Every ingredient in our Moringa Infused Softening Conditioner has been carefully selected for the purpose of creating a product that will immediately soften the hair, provide a tremendous amount of slip, and leave the hair feeling like fine silk after use. But unlike most commercial conditioners, we achieve these qualities without harmful, synthetic ingredients. Our natural earth based conditioner can be used as a rinse out conditioner applied after shampoo and as a deep conditioner for an even deeper conditioning treatment. There is just the right amount of natural saponin (soap essence) from the soap berry tree to give it that slight cleansing quality needed for a great co-wash (when you want to replace shampoo cleansing with just conditioner cleansing). This conditioner can do it all: tremendous slip, co-wash, soften, but most importantly, it does not use the easy, cheap, harmful ingredients used in many commercial conditioners.

/Moisturize and Soften the hair
To moisturize the scalp is to not just add water, but to make sure it sticks. To do this humectants (moisturizers) are needed. We use natural and very effective humectants, like aloe vera and panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) along with water to moisturize while cleansing.
Coconut Oil : Is extracted from the white part found inside the shell. It stimulates hair growth getting deep into its follicles and slows down hair loss. It promotes the scalp health fighting against such problems as insect bites, lice and dandruff. Coconut oil moisturizes dry hair, adds luster, shine and softness to the hair while preventing hair breakage and split ends which contributes to hair length.
Moringa oil : Comes from the seeds of the moringa oleifera tree, also referred to as the "Miracle tree," and it’s full of phytonutrients and behenic acid. The nutrients include vitamin C, vitamin B, and different types of monounsaturated fats like oleic acid and behenic acid. Which makes it able to deliver moisture straight to your hair- and scalp! The antioxidants in the oil are able to help protect the scalp and keep it moisturized
/Provide a lot of slip for easy hand/comb manipulation
To soften the hair is not enough when it comes to a great conditioner, it also has to allow the stands to easily separate so that your comb or brush can have a much easier time gliding through the hair. This is important even if you are simply rinsing the conditioner out immediately after applying it and even more so when you decide maybe you want to do a quick detangle while the conditioner is in. While all the natural oils and ingredients create a smooth consistency that aid in slip, the main ingredients that give this product added slip are cetyl alcohol and behentrimonium chloride. Cetyl alcohol is not a drying alcohol, but actually battles dryness. It is a fatty alcohol derived from natural sources which add incredible moisture to hair and not to be confused with the drying alcohols to avoid. Behentrimonium chloride is plant based, made from colza oil, and adds extreme slip to the hair while conditioning.
/Contain just enough cleanse for a very gentle co-wash (conditioner wash with no shampoo)
A small percentage of soap berries are used to add a bit of cleansing power. The same ingredients used since ancient times to cleanse hair and body naturally.
/Have a smooth feel for easy application
To create a smooth silky feel we have added Emulsifying wax, which combines the oils and waters to create a smooth slick feel, and at the same time it is a conditioning tool which helps the hair accept moisture. This ingredient is very safe and effective in enhancing the already earthy smooth feel of the other ingredients.
/Contain something to stop those pesky microbes from forming in the product
It would be very ideal to not have any ingredients that stops those pesky microbes from forming and rotting the product very quickly, but leaving this out can be very dangerous. A rotten product can harm your scalp and that would be disastrous. Instead we use optiphen, which is a very safe non-harmful, paraben-free, formaldehyde-free preservative.
/Have a natural soothing scent
There are no perfumes or fragrance in this product. When these words are used on a label, they take the place of a combination of a huge amount of harmful chemicals that give off a synthetic “pretty” smell. We use a combination of wonderful essential oils to enhance the natural earthy clay smell.
/A pH between 4 and 7
Why 4 and 7? Natural hair and scalp has a pH of about 4.5 to 5.5 and using products between 4 and 7 (aka “pH Balanced”) is ideal because they will not disrupt our own hair pH. Our shampoo has a pH of about 6.79.
